Earlier this year, Xiaomi revealed the K20 Series which ended up being quite popular. Even in the global market where it was named a Mi 9T or Mi 9T Pro, it made its mark. To follow up with the success of that series, Redmi will be releasing Redmi K30 Series on December 10. And well, right before it launches, some live hands-on images and specs of the Redmi K30 have been leaked online.
The device is also supposed to have a 5G variant alongside its 4G counterpart. Some live images of the device were leaked last week. Also, a certification listing was leaked which confirmed that it’s coming with 27W fast charging support and a 120Hz display.
The leak of the Redmi K30 which has appeared today shows a spec sheet of the 4G variant of the device and a live hands-on image alongside that. Note that this leak is coming from a reputable source in China. And according to that leak, the device will sport a 6.6-inch punch-hole display with 20:9 aspect ratio. In the punch-hole will reside two selfie units – a 20MP primary unit and a 2MP depth sensor. It is supposed to be an LCD display which means the fingerprint sensor would be either shifted to the sides or back. According to the spec sheet, it’ll be on the side. This seems like a major blow as the Redmi K20 came with a full-screen AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The only good thing I see in this is the 120Hz refresh rate.
On the back, there will be a quad camera setup. This will consist of a 64MP primary camera paired with 8MP telephoto sensor, a 13MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth/macro sensor. These cameras will get the processing power from the Snapdragon 730G which will be paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage for the base variant.
All this hardware will get the juice from a massive 4,500 mAh battery which will also have a 27W fast charging support. The device will also be equipped with NFC, IR Blaster and our beloved headphone jack. It’ll be running on Android 10 based MIUI 11 out of the box. The pricing for the Redmi K30 is expected to start at CNY1,999.
