Redmi unveiled the Redmi K20 Series earlier this year. Overall, the K20 Series devices sold well. But the competition has improved on their devices since then. So, Redmi doesn’t want to be left behind in this game. Hence, it’ll soon be launching the Redmi K30 Series. The launch date for the Redmi K30 Series has been already confirmed – December 10, 2019.

This announcement was made by Redmi’s VP and General Manager Lu Weibing on Weibo. From the teaser image posted on Weibo, it can also be confirmed that the K30 will support dual-mode 5G – and this will be the first for any Redmi device. Other than that, the front design of the K30 Series can be seen in the teaser image. This design reveals that the K30 will have dual camera setup on the front. These cameras are inside a hole punch cut-out on the top right corner of the display.

When we take a closer look at the image, it can be seen that the device sports a wider earpiece. This means that the earpiece might double as a second speaker for stereo sound. As we saw with the Redmi K20, this might be powered by a 7-Series processor from Qualcomm. Some leaks also hint towards the Redmi K30 sporting a 120Hz display – which would be great. And the 3C certification of the device has already confirmed that the Redmi K30 will arrive with 30W fast charging support.

As of now, these are the only details available for the Redmi K30. As and when more details surface online, I’ll make sure to cover them.
