Huawei has been releasing pretty great devices since quite some time. But it was a long time ago that they updated their mid-range chipset – Kirin 710. Recently, while launching the Nova Series of smartphones, they launched their newer and much better mid-range chipset – Kirin 810. The first device to equip this chipset is the Nova 5, but no one knew how much capable it would be – till now. Today, AnTuTu score for the Huawei Nova 5 has been revealed.

Huawei Nova 5 AnTuTu score

The Huawei Nova 5 has scored an amazing score of 237437. This score is significantly higher than the current best mid-range chip offered by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 730. Qualcomm should now be worried about Huawei’s capability of making good chipsets as the competition is catching up – and is catching up quickly.

Huawei Nova 5 AnTuTu score

The AnTuTu score of Huawei Nova 5 is about 13% higher than what the average Snapdragon 730 had scored. Also, when comparing it with the Kirin 710, this is a 70% improvement just in the CPU department. On the other hand, the GPU is about 25% more powerful than the one found with Snapdragon 730 and about 3x more powerful than the Kirin 710 – That’s what an upgrade should look like.

Well, I haven’t tested out the device myself. But if these numbers are to be believed and if they paint the right picture, this is going to be great competitor in the mid-range devices. If I get to test it out, I’ll make sure to update you all in a review.
