Vivo has been making pretty solid moves lately. And it looks like it won’t stop. According to some recent leaks and rumours, vivo will be releasing its X30 series next month. Several things are already known about the device. And adding to those known things, vivo has released a teaser video showing off the 60x superzoom capabilities of vivo X30 series.

Both the devices in the X30 series will have Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset at its heart with integrated dual mode 5G modem. Also, it’ll have a quad-camera setup on the back – one of which will be a 13MP periscope unit.

vivo x30 series 60x superzoom capabilities

This periscope unit will be responsible for achieving that superzoom capabilities and most recent vivo ad on Weibo shows exactly that. In the ad, it showcases the 60x superzoom capabilities of the device and it looked good. But well, it’s probably all achieved through the hybrid zoom mechanism and not only optical zoom. Practically, the optical zoom capabilities of the device would be limited to 5-6x zoom. Anyways, what was shown in the ad looked good but it’s an ad. So, it would be interesting to find what the X30 is capable of in real-life if and when I get my hands on the device.

There will be two variants available in the X30 Series. The X30 will have a 6.5-inch display with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. The camera array on the back will include 64MP + 13MP + 8MP + 2MP sensors. All this will be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery. The bigger brother, X30 Pro should come with a 6.89-inch display with up to 12GB RAM. Here, the camera array will include 60MP + 12MP + 13MP + 13MP sensors. Both devices might also have 90Hz AMOLED displays.
