Vivo is about to release a new device soon – Vivo X30. Yesterday, we saw that the device will be capable of having 60x zoom capabilities. But it wasn’t known as what camera in the camera module would enable this. But well, that’s solved today. It is now confirmed that there will be a periscope camera on the Vivo X30 which will enable the Super Zoom capabilities.

Today, a new image was posted on Weibo. This image was a close-up shot of the camera setup on the Vivo X30. From this image, it can be clearly seen that there is a periscope camera right next to the triple camera array. The post on Weibo also said – “a flagship for pro shots” and had a hashtag – #SuperTelephotoPeriscope.

Soon after that, vivo’s official account posted a video which revealed the three colour options which will be offered for the Vivo X30. First one is the Coral, second is the regular Black colour and third is a gradient which includes white, blue and purple colours. The third one is my favourite here.

It has been already confirmed through the previous leaks that the Vivo X30 will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 980 chipset with an integrated 5G modem. And on the front, it should be having a 90Hz OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

There is no announcement of the official launch date yet – but it is expected to hit the markets soon. Once it’s announced, it’ll be interesting to see how the camera setup fairs when compared to the competition.
