Vivo has released several devices in 2019 with some being better than others. It looks like Vivo will continue the same trend in 2020 with its first release being just a few days away. Vivo will be launching the Vivo S1 Pro in India on January 4 making it the first launch of the year – 2020.

This launch date has been confirmed by Vivo itself. They have updated the header image on their Twitter handle indicating the launch of the Vivo S1 Pro. Also, a promotional page has been set up on their official site as well as Amazon India to reveal the launch date.

Expected Specifications

The Vivo S1 Pro has been already launched in China as well as in some other countries. But they have different devices under the same name. The Vivo S1 Pro in China has a Snapdragon 675 at its heart. That is paired along with the full screen display and a triple camera setup on the back. However, the global version of the Vivo S1 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 665 with a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a tear drop notch. On the back, it has a diamond shaped quad camera setup which looks good.

It is expected that Vivo will be launching the global version of the Vivo S1 Pro in India – and not the Chinese variant. The Quad camera setup on the back consists of a 48MP Primary, an 8MP Ultrawide, 2MP Macro and a 2MP Depth sensor. On the front, it’ll be equipped with a 32MP sensor. As it will be equipped with an AMOLED screen, it’ll also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

It is expected that the Vivo S1 Pro will be equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage. There will be an option to expand the storage up to 256GB by using a microSD card. On the software side, the Vivo S1 Pro will boot on Android Pie based FunTouch OS 9.2 out of the box. Everything on the device will receive power from a 4,500 mAh battery which comes with the support of 18W fast charging through the USB Type-C Port.

In India, the device might launch in three colour variants – Dreamy White, Knight Black and Blue Fog. It will be sold in India through Amazon and their official website. The pricing for the device is still not known. If it launches between ₹12k-14k, it should be a good option.
