Samsung will be releasing their new S11 Series of devices next year. And we’ve already started seeing leaks and renders of those devices. Recently, the leaks and renders of the S11 and S11e appeared online. Unfortunately, I wasn’t here to cover it at that time. Now, the S11+ leaks and renders have appeared online. Well, this new Samsung Galaxy S11+ leaks now reveal a weird camera module.
Samsung Galaxy S11+ looks almost the same as the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11e – except the camera module. The camera module we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S11 and S11e looked similar to the Samsung Galaxy M30s. And recently, Honor revealed their new devices – V30 and V30 Pro which have a similar camera module – even though the sensors will differ. But on the S11+, it’s a completely different story. It looks like the camera sensors were just stuck inside the device wherever they could find the space.
I don’t mind it being rectangle slab sitting on the corner. But when the sensors inside that rectangular slab which forms the camera bump aren’t even aligned properly, I would just like to know a reason for that. At first, that module sitting on the left makes it asymmetrical. Then, adding to that, the sensor which are sitting inside that slab aren’t even aligned properly – which makes it even more asymmetrical.
But according to a reliable tipster Ice Universe, these renders aren’t fully accurate and the “real design is more beautiful than this” – and I really hope that’s true. Maybe, it’s a similar situation where the design doesn’t look good in leaks and rumours but might look better on a real device. Only time will tell and I’ll make sure to cover it.
Keeping the looks and design part aside now, the front of the device has the same curved edge punch-hole display. The punch-hole is at the same position as that of the Galaxy Note 10 Series i.e. centre. You can also notice that there’s a wide earpiece which should provide you with the stereo sound by doubling up as a speaker. On the right, we see the power and volume rocker and the USB-C port resides at the bottom.
It’s expected that the device will be sporting a 108MP primary camera with a 5x telephoto camera. With that huge camera bump, the thickness of the device will be 10.2mm but it’ll be 8.8mm if the camera bump isn’t taken into consideration. The display will just be as beautiful as previous Samsung flagship devices, but it’ll be larger at 6.9-inch. And just like previous Samsung flagships, it’ll have a fingerprint sensor under the display.
As of now, no other information about the S11+ has appeared online except a Geekbench listing which revealed that the device will be powered by Exynos 9830 chipset with 12GB RAM and Android 10 out of the box. But I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing more leaks and rumours about the device in the near future. And I’ll make sure to cover them.
