The leaks and rumours of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series have been in the air since last few months. But we don’t need to rely on the leaks and rumours anymore as Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series is now officially launched. Yes, it is a Series now as we have two variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 – Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

Both the devices – Samsung Galaxy Note 10 as well as the Galaxy Note 10+ are powered by the same chipset – Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9825. They both have the base variant with 256GB internal storage. But the Galaxy Note 10 comes with 8GB RAM while the Note 10+ comes with 12GB RAM. Also, the Note 10+ has an option for 512GB internal storage, which is great. Other than that, it is important to “note” that the storage can only be expanded on the Note 10+, and not on the Note 10.

The design of the Galaxy Note Series has also changed, both from front and back. On the front, there is a 6.3-inch AMOLED display on the Note 10 while there’s a 6.8-inch AMOLED display on the Note 10+. Both have a centred punch hole display, but they have different display resolution. The Galaxy Note 10 has a Full HD+ resolution while the Note 10+ has Quad HD+ resolution, which is obviously better. But it’s great that both devices support HDR10+ and Dynamic Tone Mapping for greater image quality. Inside that punch hole, there’s a 10MP 80-degree selfie camera with autofocus.

On the back, there’s no fingerprint sensor – like it was there on the Note 9. It has now been moved under that beautiful display. Also, the camera module is now vertically placed on the top-left side instead of the horizontal placement on the Note 9. Both, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 as well as the Galaxy Note 10+ share the same triple rear camera setup on the back. There’s a primary 12MP sensor with OIS and dual aperture – f/1.5 and f/2.4. The secondary sensor is a 12MP telephoto lens with OIS. And the third sensor is a 123-degree wide-angle lens. But on the Galaxy Note 10+, there’s also an additional 3D ToF sensor, which can be used for sensing depth and creating live bokeh.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is packed with a 3,500 mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is packed with a 4,300 mAh battery which supports up to 45W Super-Fast charging. But you’ll have to buy the 45W charger separately as only 25W charger will be provided inside the box. Both devices will support fast wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging.

Samsung has finally said goodbye to the headphone jack as the Galaxy Note 10 Series doesn’t have a headphone jack. But both do come with USB Type-C earphones in the box, which will be tuned by AKG. Also, they feature stereo speakers, which are also supposedly tuned by AKG for superior audio.

But now, what is a Note device without S-Pen? So, S-Pen has also received upgrades which even makes it even more useful. It can now be used as a motion controller as accelerometer and gyroscope have been added to the S-Pen. You can now navigate through the UI just by using the S-Pen at a distance with the default gestures. But Samsung is opening up the Air Actions SDK so that app and game developers can use it in new and creative ways. Also, the feature to use it as a shutter button still exists.

The Galaxy Note 10 Series is capable of recording 4K video recording and offers features like Live Focus video and an improved version of the Super Steady Feature. It also has an advanced video editor which can be used in a better way along with the S-Pen. Also, Adobe has launched the Note-friendly version of the Adobe Rush which is available for free download and has even more advanced video-editing features.

Samsung has also announced a new feature named “Link to Windows” which will sync notifications, messages and photos with your Windows 10 PC. You can enable this feature from Windows’ Quick Panel. Also, there’s another feature named PlayGalaxy Link which will allow you to continue playing a game from your PC on your Galaxy device. And there’s a slim vapor chamber cooling system inside the Note 10 Series which will help keeping the heat off your device.

There are three colour options for the Galaxy Note 10 Series available at the launch: Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black. A few selected markets will also get an Aura Pink version of the Galaxy Note 10 and an Aura Blue version of the Galaxy Note 10+.

The Galaxy Note 10 Series is already up for pre-orders in India through the Samsung India Store, Amazon India and Flipkart. In India, the Galaxy Note 10 is priced at ₹69,999 for 8GB/256GB variant while the Galaxy Note 10+ is priced at ₹79,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. The top variant i.e. 12GB/512GB variant is priced at ₹89,999.
