Realme has grown a lot in the Indian market. To continue with its exceptional success in the market, it has introduced a new entry level device today. Today, the Realme C3 was launched in India – and well, it looks like a good upgrade to its predecessor.

As said earlier, it’s an entry-level device made for budget-conscious consumers. To keep that budget in check, the device is powered by the Mediatek Helio G70 – which isn’t too bad. This is lower-clocked version of the Helio G90 which is a huge upgrade over the Helio P22 powered Realme C2.

On the back, there is a dual camera setup which includes a 12MP f/1.8 Primary camera with a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Even though I would’ve appreciated a telephoto or a wide-angle camera instead of the depth sensor, I wouldn’t complain about that considering the price of the device.

Turning around the device, we have a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. This notch is equipped with the 5MP selfie camera. Overall, the bezels are quite slim for a budget device. On the display, you’ll be able to interact with the device through Realme UI which is based on Android 10. It’s still quite similar to the ColorOS 7 – but well, that’s because Realme UI is based on that.

The device is being offered in two variants – One with 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage and other with 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage. Note that this device comes with dedicated expandable storage of up to 256GB. So, you’ll be able to use expandable storage even while using dual SIMs.

Realme C3 comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery which can be charged with the help of microUSB charging port. That’s where I would’ve loved to see USB Type-C – irrespective of the price point. Also, there’s no fingerprint sensor on this device. Skipping on those two things in 2020 doesn’t look good. However, if you want, you’ll be able to use your Realme C3 to charge other devices as reverse charging is enabled on the device.

As of now, the device is being offered in two colour variants – Blazing Red and Frozen Blue. Realme says that the device is splash resistant. However, there is no IP Rating to prove that. Hence, take it with a pinch of salt and don’t let your device go near water.

The device will go on sale starting 2020 Valentine’s Day i.e. February 14 at 12:00 PM IST. You’ll be able to purchase the 3GB/32GB variant at ₹6,999 and the 4GB/64GB variant at ₹7,999. The Realme C3 will go on sale on Flipkart.com as well as Realme’s own store. Later on, it might come down to your nearby offline stores – in case you don’t prefer to buy devices online.
