Recently, Oppo went ahead and shared a small clip of its under-display camera technology on their social media channels. With this technology, there will be no need for pop-up camera mechanisms, punch holes or notches. The selfie camera can simply be tucked inside the display and it stays completely hidden when not in use. Now, it looks like Oppo will be showcasing the new smartphone with under-display camera on June 26.

If you follow the tech related news regularly, you might be aware of the fact that the MWC begins on June 26. And that’s exactly where Oppo plans to showcase this new smartphone with the under-display camera technology. People will be able to see this technology in real life for the first time at the Mobile World Congress.

An invitation has already been sent out to the Chinese media representatives. In that invitation, we can clearly see the camera which is positioned below the earpiece. The text on the invitation is in Chinese, but on translating it through Google Lens, we get “More than comprehensive” but some articles do mention that the text is roughly translated to “Even more surface” which seems to be quite true. That text clearly indicates that the smartphone might have a better screen-to-body ratio because of the camera being tucked inside the screen.

The event for showcasing this might begin at 2PM local time at Oppo’s booth. This is an event where several manufacturers, especially from the Asia-Pacific region can showcase cool developments in technology before they make it to the actual market.
