Huawei recently launched the Honor 20 Series. And it’s already preparing to launch the Nova 5 Series on Friday. To get some hype up, Huawei usually teases its new devices on their Weibo account. The latest tease being that the Huawei Nova 5 Series would have a 32MP selfie camera. It’s interesting to note that the device teaser shows the waterdrop notch instead of the punch hole design which was expected. The selfie camera sensor is expected to be a Samsung GD1 sensor in the entire series.

Even after this latest leak, it’s expected that the Nova 5i might have the punch hole LCD display while the Nova 5 might still have the waterdrop notch display. Also, the Nova 5 Pro might have the same waterdrop notch display while the Nova 5i Pro could have a wider notch – just like the Huawei P20 Series.

Nova 5i is expected to feature the Kirin 710 chipset, which is quite old chipset at this moment. But the Nova 5 would feature the flagship Kirin 980 chipset. The later information was again confirmed through a Geekbench listing from the phone with a model number SEA-AL10. The single-core and multi-core scores displayed on Geekbench listing seems to match with other scores of the devices having Kirin 980 chipset.

Well, the launch is close enough. So, these leaks are expected to be the final ones. But if there’s any change, I’ll make sure to notify you all for that.
