Asus launched the Asus Zenfone 6 last month, in Spain. Now, it’s time for the device to make its way to India. So, today Asus launched Asus 6z in India. The change in the name had to take place because of a recent Delhi High Court ruling.

This device has the flagship Snapdragon 855 at its heart along with a support of up to 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. Also, there is an option to expand the storage by using the microSD card slot. Powering all this hardware, there is a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery.

The mot interesting part of this device is, the camera – or let’s say the camera mechanism. Asus 6z features a primary camera of choice, the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor paired with the 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. Both sensors can be used as either rear cameras or even the selfie cameras. Thanks to the flipping camera mechanism from Asus. This mechanism is also able to take a cool panorama shot by flipping the camera slowly on its own.

The important thing about India is that it is a price sensitive market. Pricing of any smartphone is crucial and is one of the major deciding factors of anyone’s decision to buy it or not. It looks like Asus has kept that in mind. They have priced the device at Rs. 31,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant, which is quite competitive. There are two more variants – One with 6GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage which would cost you Rs. 34,999 and the top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage costing Rs. 39,999.

You’ll be able to buy any of these devices from Flipkart, starting June 26.
