Asus had to launch the Asus Zenfone 6 as Asus 6z in India due to a recent Delhi High Court ruling. Till now, it was only available for purchase in 6GB/64GB variant through Flipkart. The 6GB/128GB variant and the 8GB/256GB variants weren’t available for purchase. But that’s going to change starting tomorrow. Asus 6z will now be available for purchase in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants from July 1.
The 6GB/64GB which was available for purchase was priced at Rs. 31,999. The 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants which will be available from tomorrow will be priced at Rs. 34,999 and Rs. 39,999 respectively. All these variants can be purchased through Flipkart. But there isn’t any confirmation on the 12GB/512GB variant being available in India, yet.
The Asus 6z is a competitive offering by Asus but still having the flagship specifications. It is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset. That is paired along with an almost clean stock Android 9 Pie and a mammoth 5,000 mAh to keep it running for the entire day. Also, there’s a notch-less 6.4-inch 1080p display so that you can enjoy your media experience. On the camera side, it has a dual camera setup to the back which can simply be flipped towards the front and can be used for selfies. In this setup, there is a primary 48MP Sony IMX586 and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor.
If you were only waiting for the higher variants, then you can go ahead and purchase it tomorrow from Flipkart. Overall, it’s a solid device which shouldn’t disappoint you.
